App to make VCD

Hi all,
I've been downloading a large media file. An avi to be exact. Now have the avisplit from Bobyte Freeware: We make video editor, video joiner and video splitter software but howto make a VCD. I know Nero has an integrated tool to do the same but have been using CDBurnerXP Pro & happy with it. So looking for a stand-alone tool which can make VCD's.
Also there was something like a 100 KB or something application which would make playing the VCD in the VCD player a cinch. Don't remember the name of the application. If anybody knows any better please lemme know.

Too much of work. Will burn it into CD's just like that. Don't have the system as well as space to do the big crunching thing.

too much work?? :S you open the file, say "convert to vcd", and click on Go! Then few hours later, it'll spit out your VCD file.

Well encoding speed would depend on his machine, not the app

point is will it spit out a VCD with all the folders & things. What about having a menu for VCD player. Will that also be there or need a seperate app. for having a menu. I'm looking for this as would like to use the same on the VCD player also.

Hi,

It's me again, it seems that the freeware is o.k. but not enough. A better one I've is found is AVI Splitter, MPEG Splitter, AVI Joiner, MPEG Joiner, RM Joiner, WMV/ASF Joiner, RM Converter, AVI Converter, AVI to VCD they 've all in one joiners as well as splitters.
