Mac OS Apple has a Proton-like Game Porting Toolkit for getting Windows games on Mac

In this recent WWDC Event Held By Apple They announced A porting Toolkit which would allow developers to Port Windows games to Mac.
This could be a revolutionary point in the decade as Apple silicon has some serious hardware and gaming performance on those efficient Processors would be awesome.
Eager gamers already have Cyberpunk, Diablo IV running on Apple Silicon Macs.
What you guys think about this and can we discuss that will it affect PC gamers or the Gaming Community?
Will the Powerful yet power hungry Intel and few AMD CPUs compete with Apple ?

If marketed properly, Apple silicon will leave sony and microsoft consoles in the ground. Nintendo switch's big brother lol, but Apple has very little love for gamers. Gaming laptops / desktops costing more, sometimes in MacBook pro-ish range. If Mac can game even with decent compromises, people will prefer a macbook for its lightness and battery life.

With gaming, along with hardware it all comes down to software. With the state of modern gaming and how half baked the games are, letting developers port for macOS is not the best move, but something like Proton is the best way for a blanket approach.

Hell, even if you can play at 1080p, medium/high at 60 fps, consoles will be on their way out. Imagine using Apple TV and playing current-gen titles. PS4 and xbox will look like waste of space (As mind you majority of gaming still happens at 1080p) and the switch will look like a literal toy.

Apple hardware is not meant for gaming at all, other than small games.

Newer Macbooks, some have fanless design - and some have 1-2 heatpipes: not meant for AAA games at all, but sure you can play them and get device defects - such kind of regular heat most of the time won't defect your macbook in 1 year but after that, it is the memory that goes first as they don't even have proper cooling. Apple is more evil than you can think.

I think such emulation will also cause high wear on that non replaceable SSD.

Conclusion: Apple silicon is not meant for gaming at all, unless they fix their designs, starting with that non replaceable SSD, the worst consumer **** up ever.

starting with that non replaceable SSD
I don't think it will ever happen, the RAM and SSD are part of the SoC itself. It's the future, soon single chip solutions will be more popular on other platforms too.

The chip is smart enough to know when to turn itself down when the junction temperature reaches above some value. The on chip voltage regulator is in place just like the intel chips have from decades, chances of it dying from other factors (vibrations, thermal shock, high humidity, etc) are high rather than being used in 100% utilization, just because it's fan less doesn't mean it will die early.

No such case happened yet, but too early to tell. These chips will show their true colors after being used for few years. There are so many in the field, if some major problem occurred it will spread like fire and will become headline.
