The Carphone Warehouse is the first retailer to stock the white version of the 8GB Apple iPhone 3G, weeks ahead of Apple’s UK network partner O2.

Carphone takes delivery of stock of both the 8GB version and the 16GB model tomorrow (August 23).

Both versions will be on sale at the same price as the original black model - the 8GB is free on £45 O2 tariffs and £99 on £30 O2 tariffs; the 16GB version is £59 on £45 O2 deals and £159 on £30 O2 deals.

calm down people...its a Indian bought phone from vodafone...i had peeps in vodofone to give me a white 8gb at an extra cost..so they might have changed the back cover or whatever....and yes you can verify from the serial number and the imei number that it was bought from vodafone.

Gosh, and stop with the discussion you guys...create a separate thead if you want to discuss about white iphone :|
