Yes recently after announcing new iPads Apple have slashed prices of refurbished and discontinued iPads to greater extent. iPad 4 16GB WiFi was for $419 around before 22nd October. Currently its at $379 - ~24% lesser than actual price. iPad 3 16GB Wifi was $379 and now it is $359. However refurbished iPad 2 sells for $319 - ~20% lesser than actual price even after being 3 generation older. Hence discounts are on higher side for discontinued iPads. Refurbished iPad Air should be 15% lower in the beginning, IMO, resulting in saving of $75.

Alternatively you can watch out for Thanks Giving day sale.
 
Hey guys kindle fire hdx 8.9 has launched and it weights a mere 374 grams + 326 ppi. Amazingly lightweight for a 9 inch device plus claims 12 hrs of battery life. Now confused betweek this and ipad air.

Kindle tabs have been heavily skinned,to the point that they may not appear to be android.They dont have the play store,you can only use amazon app store.They are intended only for amazon content usage like magazines,books,apps, etc.Thats the reason they are sold so cheap because amazon earns through its content.Similar to the way nexus devices are cheap because google recovers through play store app commissions.
So just root the tab,install a custom rom.

MRP - 42k, Their quote - 35k (off the bat), Final price I paid - 30k.

proof please. the most i got was 3% off a displayed-phone which i later realize was a bad deal. online price (without discount) was much better.
