Was building a new PC so just wanted to know whether the Abit IP35-E Mobo with its original bios would at least detect the e7200 to allow me to flash the latest bios or do I have to get another 65nm processor to flash the bios?

It should since most IP35E's come factory shipped with the BIOS 16; :)

BTW IP35 E has been discontinued by abit it appears; :( Could not find them at the website when I'd checked a couple of days back;

One last question... so I can run Pentium D 95nm CPU?

or from this chart: here

Need to buy one ASAP

so please someone...(will rep)

nm = nano metre. 10^-9 metres. It refers to the distance between individual transistors on the chip die. Smaller the distance, more the number of transistors you can fit on the die.

Better not upgrade only the processor.Your system will hold it back.

Get yourself an E7200 + Biostar 7050 + 2GB Transcend RAM.

It will actually be much better than your current setup also this board will allow you to do some small OC'ing so 2.8 should be achievable.
