Are online data entry and work from home sites for real?

Hello guys,

I am a journalist by profession and looking to earn some extra bucks working from home. I have come across sites like this one. Part Time Jobs | Data Entry Jobs | Earn Money Online Work From Home | Part Time Jobs For Students | Part Time Jobs For Housewives |

Has anybody out here ever done any 'work from home' kind of a job? What's the feedback? Are they genuine? DO you really get paid for filling forms?

I don't mind content writing kind of work also from home. If anybody can provide any genuine links or leads...

I'm not going to be giving links...just a little insight.

1. Ones that claim a lot of benefits, a high payout and look too good to be true, simply aren't ! Skip them.

2. There are genuine organizations that offer monetary benefits for surveys, form filling, forum posting and the likes...BUT, the earning process will be 'slow' and they will have a certain requirement, for an actual payout!

3. Content writing is promising, if you are talented and find the right clients. Registering at a few 'freelancing' portals (like bidfreelancers.com) would be a good start.

* You will need to show samples of your work, to impress clients.

* The pay might not be favourable on certain assignments.

Unless you carve out a niche for yourself, you are pretty much limited to the above options.

Hmmm....not sure if I left some thing out. :P

But you must also keep in mind that it is really menial work in the beginning. The established writers do earn handsomely but it is going to take quite some time for you to establish credibility. :)
 
100% are fake. However if you can bid on sites like Elance they do pay.

But remember you need to have a good profile and first few months are low paying.Gradually as you built up the profile you can start raking in the molaah.
 
Although a bit offtopic but my friends once tried something like this

They read in paper about some "Friendship Club" which will also pay. They called the contact number and asked about the details.

The lady on other end of the phone told them to give them their contact number and in turn my friends asked them what they need to do...

She said...

A Van will come to pick them up and they need to go with them and they will leave those guys back after few hours.

In short....they need to make their clients happy :lol:
