If you are going for vengeance, don't forget that their height can block install of most of the popular after market CPU coolers especially if you want to add a couple more sticks later.

no that will not be necessary ever as i will always use the stock cooler

^ +1 Recently upgraded to Corsair 1600MHz DDR3 RAM

Vengeance doesn't fit in the first slot with my CoolerMaster 212 plus.

I've also got a similar question, I have 2 x 4GB Corsair XMS3 1600MHz + 1 x 4GB Corsair Vengeance (couldn't find another XMS3 in stock :( ) so after rebooting i went into bios & saw that the clock was set to 1333Mhz instead so i set it to manual & increased it to 1600MHz < Have i over clocked it? is there any harm here, since both of them are already 1600MHz? Also Why would it not set to 1600MHz in the first place? I check the timing it was same on all the 3 Sticks 9-9-9-24.

this is an age old issue with the motherboards

they only set the maximum stock clock to 1333

no you have not over clocked them but just set the right frequency timings

nothing to worry here

i guess you must have brought the rams 1 piece each so are they running in dual channel mode

^ Ok! Yes i think they are running in Dual Channel mode
