Graphic Cards Are you guys using your GPUs to mine?

I never had any interest in mining but a couple of months ago I was listing to the WAN show and they made some comment about why are general people with single gpus not mining and I thought to myself why am I not mining. So I checked the profitability of a 2060 (my gpu) and it was pretty high, about 250rs per day and since I wasn't gaming much I installed nice hash which is incredibly easy to use and in less than 2 months I have made 10k, more than half the value of a 2060 in a normal market.
I know the value of my card will decrease since it is being used for mining but I guess that won't me more than a couple thousands.

So my question is are you guys mining and if not then why?

Also if anyone decide to use Nicehash remember that the minimum withdrawal is 0.001 btc or about 4.2k so you can't mine for a day or two and withdraw the money, you will have to accumulate 0.001btc before you can withdraw it.

P.S: If and when I get a 3060ti/3070 at their mrp you can expect a sweet deal on this 2060.

Are you using nicehash wallet or your own wallet? What are the withdrawal fees? Also how do ypu convert your crypto to INR? How much fees for that?

I never felt the itch to try mining. Most likely because I know that it won't be that profitable with an RTX 2060.
Also, I feel it's not worth it considering the electricity usage, GPU heat generated, and upkeep effort.

Nicehash wallet
What are the withdrawal fees?
It keeps changing, I paid 15rs for the first time and 140rs the second time, both time withdrawal amount was around 5k.

I use Zebpay, transfer btc from nicehash wallet to Zebpay wallet and then convert btc to INR on Zebpay. Zebpay charges 10rs for transferring money to bank.
I dont and will never ever compromise my beloved components for churning out money.
But what if you use the churned out money for better components, that's what I plan to do. I'm pretty sure I can mine enough money on 2060 to buy a 3060ti by the time mining craze die down.

I also felt the same way, I thought it was to complex and profits would be nonexistent but they are surprisingly good even after factoring the electricity cost and it is incredibly easy if you use nice hash.
I just don't have the interest.
Which GPU do you have?

I never bothered but considering mine (gtx 970) is not used for over 4 years behind gaming I probably should have mined with it and just killed it. How is the profit calculated after the electricity though? Like mining keeps the gpu running at 100% right? Without knowing the total units consumed for mining it's not possible to accurately measure the profit right?

Hey I'm interested to start mining as well but my 3070 runs at 80 degrees with the case glass (benchmarking on Unigene) is that considered normal ?

Is there anyway to transfer your BTC from nicehash to WazirX wallet ? Also I'm totally confused about taxes when it comes to mining.

I feels that's a little bit on the high side but mining use way less power than gaming or benchmarking. My power draw while mining is 82W while gaming uses 130W+ and gpu temps are also lower by 14C compared to gaming. That is because nicehash algorithm depends mostly on memory and bandwidth and not on gpu frequency so you can just use the lowest voltage that your gpu allows and set the frequency to around 1000mhz and crank the memory frequency as high as you can to get the max efficiency. If all this sound a little difficult then you can simply click the lite profile on nicehash and it will do all this for you. Do give it a try ,especially because you have a 3070, you would thank me.

Haven't used WaziX wallet but the process should be similar to zebpay. I tried searching about taxes but there was no clear answer.
And considering the GPU situation, won't ever.
Care to elaborate.

Also here's how my temps look on my shitty inno3d card.

I'm mining on my 3070 fe since mid Feb when I got it at actual price. Also didn't sell my 1660 super since it was giving around 200 per day. Got ROI on 3070 FE and will get ROI on both my GPUs in about next 1 month or so.

I'm not saying that it'll not harm your components when you run your rig 24/7. I'm saying that it's worth it to mine when you're not gaming. Also my GPUs never go above 65 degrees while mining, even when the ambient temp is around 33 degrees. Just got to make sure to tune your card for max hashrate and min temp possible.

26 Mh/s is low for a 2060, Unless you're running some other apps, you should be able to get 32 MH/s easily.

This. I myself upgraded from r5 1500x to r5 3600. I don't get much time to game so buying better components was not a priority. But then my GPU earned me some money for better components.

I'm using WazirX to convert btc to inr. And then transfer to a bank account. I'm also totally blank about the tax scenario. I'm ready to pay the taxes based on my tax slab if government asks lol.

Giving 200 rupees PD and for that how long you you need mine each day, 24x7? And what's the overall electric consumption of your system while mining?

200 avg per day for 1660 super + 400 avg/day for 3070. Total power consumption by both around 210 watts. And then add consumption of other components of your pc. 24/7 mining, yes.
Okay. You calculating that profit after considering the electric costs or before though? If a system consumes 200W roughly while mining, keeping it on 24x7 would be like 4.8 kW per day. Electric cost at 7 rupee/ unit will come to 30 rupees/ day. So (200-30) i.e. 170 effective profit at the end of the day I guess. Still not bad.

For just the 1660 super, yes. Add 3070 to it and profit is better. In my case I'm getting around 2000~2500 extra in the bill.
