Are you making a switch to Windows XP SP3

I am still waiting for SP3 to be released officially. Will switch over to it as soon as I can. I just hope all the programs and apps work fine with it.

Isn't it already released officially.. I mean, its available for d/l at windows update site na..!

It seems there is not much of a difference between SP2 and SP3 so as long as my SP2 is running fine .. I would not fiddle around with SP3. Lets wait and see.

Thats right .. cant risk the bug free install thats running for me since 2 months now after my streak of HDD crashes (I got 3 of my HDDs all seagate replaced last week )

absolutely no problem with sp3 but also dint notice any speed improvements.......u should always remain updated.....

When I'd my comp @ the hostel, I'd it updated with the SP3; But didn notice any performance improvements then;

After taking the comp back home, I did a fresh installation of XP, and thought of sticking with the SP2.

dont update your existing installation....do a fresh installation from a xp sp3 cd.....

Am using SP3 for the past few days...No noticeable differences. Running just fine. Have not done any proper benchmarking though....

p.s Just one or two odd games(nfs prostreet in particular) seems to be running very slow..dunno if it is because of latest nvidia update or this
