lol Mohit,

I know what golden goal means :P .... I was just wondering when this last final goal was scored....whether in the 30 mins of extra time or after that :P ...

Anyway got the answer.....thanks :D

EDIT: ooops.... Sorry, I was wrong :P..... You were right Mohit..

In February 2004 it was decided by the IFAB that after Euro 2004 in Portugal, both the golden goal and the silver goal procedures would be removed from the Laws of the Game. The World Cup Finals in Germany in 2006 will not utilise the Golden Goal in the event of a tied match during the knockout stage.[1] (PDF file).

thanks Mohit.

^^a golden goal is the first goal scored by a tem during the extra time .. previously whichever team scored the first goal in the extra time used to win the match and play used to be halted and so it was called "golden goal" .. now the teams have to play the full 30 mins of extra time and it doesnt matter who scores first ... whichever team has a higher score at the end of the xtra time wins. so no more "golden goals" :) ..and even todays goal during the xtra time will not be considered a "golden goal".

i slept off half way into the second half  found out in the morning that argentin won :P ..and i won nicks :D 750 nicks on one day...yay!

i am waiting for that...of course me gonna bet on germany...have a feelin the final will be germany v bazil again ...
