I have an i7 920 processor (Stock) and megahalems cooler

I purchased Artic Silver 5 and applied a small amount on the CPU.

I ran Prime for 10-15 min, and the results are below:

I feel the temperatures are very high for the setup I have at Stock

It seems Artic silver 5 has curing time , so will the temperatures improve or they need to look amazing at first application.

Since I have corsair dominators I am unable to configure megahalems in Push Pull.

So I have one fan as exhaust on back of NZXT GAMA and parallel to the exhaust is push fan on megahalems.

So the exhaust is blowing air out of the case while another fan located on megahalems parallel about 1 inch away from exhaust is pushing air on megahalems. Will this be an issue, if yes how to come out of it.

Please suggest and provide pointers as to what to do

You should get anywhere around 50-55C @ stock settings with new TIM and such good air cooler. The curing time is somewhat 200 Hrs for Antec / Arctic compounds. But still your temperature is way high. Although, I can't comment on exhaust - inflow air setup. Experienced users will comment on it.

Way too high. With my 212 plus and regular TIM I used to get 40s under OCCT load (read Prime + 10-15C more) when I was on stock with my 860 or 2600k, don't remember which one.

There are two choices.

1. Configure your rear fan to pull in air into the cabinet so that the heat sink fan can push it though the heat sink and have an exhaust at the top to pull the hot air from the heat sink.

2. Configure the Heatsink fan as pull also. The fan will pull the air through the heatsink and the exhaust fan will exhaust it out.

There is absolutely no point in configuring two fans in opposite directions. The exhaust fan it trying to pull out air from the cabinet and your heat sink fan is trying to push air from a place where no fresh air is to be found.

I spent an entire day , and wated all my artic silver also, trying to get temps down

I tried all different application methoda also

At the end settled with the line method of application of paste, but temps settle at 72-73 at prime 95 test.

I could not get temps down at all, also temps at idle were 45

I think your cabinet [Zebronics Lava] is the culprit.

@Alpha17

He said in the post that he has NZXT Gamma.

IMO, if you can somehow reverse the direction of Cooler's fan, it will solve the problem.

Guys I changed the flow, Will mod the cabinet and aa a front exhaust, reversing the entire flow.

N yup i changed my config, so will update sig later. Will also post some pics of paste n cabinet..
