Juggernaut
Well a new torrent was uploaded an hour back or so on most trackers and that was Assassin's creed II cracked by SKIDROW.
The size is arnd 6 gigs , i will post here once i test it.
Heres what the group has to say in their nfo :

While we worked on this release, we noticed that several news webpages, forums, blogs etc. posted information, including a screenshot of a Ubisoft server attack message, which showed our group name.
First of all, that picture is a fake, nor would any member of Skid Row cause such riot, as we're only here to compete with our game release competitors, nothing else.
Neither do we encourage anyone to take such actions, no matter
how much we agree, that DRM's like this one, are only hurting
those that do want to buy the game or have bought it.
Another point is those news medias, we mentioned before, post
anything these days, no matter if it's a joke or not. Beware
what you're posting, just because you want to prank someone.
This release is an accomplishment of weeks of investigating,
experimenting, testing and lots of hard work.
We know that there is a server emulator out in the open, which
makes the game playable, but when you look at our cracked
content, you will know that it can't be compared to that.
Our work does not construct any program deviation or any kind
of host file paradox solutions. Install game and copy the
cracked content, it's that simple.
Since we don't want to see cheap imitations, we protected our
work with a solid shield. Not because we want to deceive the
majority, like certain people out there, but because we have
in the past been an open book of knowledge for our competitors.

Real cracking is done by The Leading Force!

Yeah just saw.

Although I am ecstatic that some group worked so hard to crack this DRM , I am a bit disappointed with the spirit with which this is being taken .

Not go into the moral conversation like in the previous thread , but not buying just seems so wrong for a game that currently has no bugs watsoever :(

hurray for SKIDROW!!!

"Since we don't want to see cheap imitations, we protected our

what an irony :bleh:

Yeah..was about to say that..a shield to protect a cracked drm which was supposed to prevent it from being cracked :P

Anyway, if this crack works out, its nothing but another reason for ubi to stop developing pc titles
Pirates never seem to give up..lets see how ubi responds now..
On the positive note, we can now expect the offline patch from ubi..if they release that patch, maybe, sales might even increase and they will learn their lesson..

hmm the ubisoft has learn the lesson and post fake and keep excuse about pirated problem

so pirated is not down due to many people refused to buy original games at very expensive price

so the og games between 300-700 max is better deal or else we might ignore it due to charge high price like dvd movie ;)

btw i went to landmark and i want to pre-order gta epc but out of stock and i was wtf and i refused the order and refund it

cause there might be no stock order and it take 2 more week to collect new games

so pirated is improve at all over the world but it it steal lend stuff :|

Ubisoft hardly got 'pwned'. Their DRM achieved what it was supposed to - avoid being cracked on day zero.
Since they went as long as a month and more without being cracked, it's job well done as far as they are concerned.

Maybe game publishers should strike a deal with scene groups - don't crack our games for atleast a month after release; knock yourself out after that heh.

They did get pwned my friend. Now since this tech has been cracked, their next game Conviction carrying the same DRM will be cracked in a day since the group has figured it out. Sure this thing took a month but pirates dont care for this short time since they are anyways getting it for free :p .

Now Ubi cant whip out new DRM, this prolly took them a year and was beaten in a month so that is called pwnage :p especially since they were so confident.

Also not being cracked on day zero is pointless cause they hurt their own genuine buyers in the process.

True

Already downloading. :clap::hap2:

I'm really on the fence about this news. On the one hand that DRM did prevent the game from being cracked earlier. That crack certainly took some time. Good news for sales. Good for Ubisoft.

On the other hand I'm glad someone cracked it. Here's hoping this is the first nail in coffin for always online DRM nonsense, so us legitimate users dont have to suffer.

LOL, whatever prevented them in cracking it so long was where Ubi won. Most of them must have got their legit copies by then and some of them must have been feeling the itch now. Too bad!

Ubi does know how to make a good DRM. Very well, there's always a next time. ;)

Not entirely true... Some people still prefer getting original

Ubisoft just got Pwned, they worked on DRM for 1 year to delay the game on PC and it got cracked in a month.

well skid might have cracked it, some some others cracked it first right? (by creating the custom server emulator? [i am using that the game works PERFECT, AS IT IS SUPOPSED TO WORK!])), so i dunno how this is big :|

This might be big only for the next games which will come out using the same DRM..
