Today, Asus launched their GeForce 8800GT with the whoopy 1GB built-in Memory…. Asus is now first company who launched 8800GT Model in 1GB memory. There was not any GeForce 8800GT 1GB ever, that’s enough to prove that Asus did it first..

It runs at the same speeds as the regular 8800 GT (600MHz core, 900MHz memory), but Asus says the extra RAM helps it achieve a 10% higher score in 3DMark06. The EN8800GT/HTDP/1G is outfitted with a special “Glaciator Fansink†cooler, too. Asus claims this cooler keeps temperatures 7°C lower than the stock 8800 GT fan and heatsink while producing less noise.

Unprecedented 1GB GDDR3 Onboard Memory from Qimonda for Best Graphical Output

"The ASUS EN8800GT/HTDP/1G is the first EN8800GT model in the world to leverage the Qimonda DRAM that comes equipped with 8pcs of 1GB GDDR3 graphics memory," said C.P. Wu, General Manager of ASUS Graphics and Multimedia Business.

Even a powerful GPU can suffer from bottlenecks due to slow and insufficient video memory, therefore memory size is very important. The more memory installed on a video card, the more data it can store, and thus there is no need to utilize slower access to the PC RAM. With most current and upcoming games requiring high video memory requirements; plus the fact that game developers still constantly increasing the estimated video memory size, users will require the combination of memory size and speed even more to reach the ultimate performance – making the 1GB GDDR3 memory from Qimonda even more important.

"We are glad that Qimonda could offer ASUS this ultimate memory solution, which enables us to offer this leading product for the graphic card market", said Robert Feurle, Vice President of Business Unit Graphics at Qimonda.

Thus, with the ASUS EN8800GT/HTDP/1G, performance will be greatly enhanced, and users can now fully enjoy games or movies without lag or stuttering even at very high resolutions and maximum quality settings.

7ºC Cooler with Exclusive Fansink Design

The ASUS EN8800GT/HTDP/1G also utilizes the specially designed Glaciator Fansink that effectively dissipates heat away from the graphics card. Much like a glacial storm, the Glaciator Fansink can quickly transfer heat away from the GPU and lower temperatures by a whopping 7ºC in comparison to reference design boards*. On top of this unprecedented cooling capacity, the Glaciator Fansink is also half quieter than generic designed fansinks – catering to users who require maximum cooling without excessive fan rotation noise**.

Overclock the Shader Clock with New SmartDoctor

ASUS garners another world’s first by providing an overclocking utility that is able to tweak the Shader Clock on GPUs with new SmartDoctor. With this application, users will be able to overclock the Shader Clock and Engine Clock independently for over 10% astonishing performance boosts without the hassles of rebooting or re-flashing their BIOS***.

Exclusive ASUS GamerOSD for Versatile Graphics Usage

The ASUS EN8800GT/HTDP/1G also comes with the exclusive ASUS GamerOSD that unleashes the true power of ASUS’ VGA cards. This feature is able to deliver GPU overclocking from onscreen displays during games – allowing users real-time performance upgrades when they require it. Additionally, it also provides users with the option to record live gaming action or live broadcasting over the Internet with ease.
