Asus p320 Tweaks

btw my phone was shipped last week and I have been somewhat busy so cudnt post an update here.

I got it for real cheap.. using 1000 bucks off it came to 8290 shipped.

I have also shopped for 4GB sandisk ultra microSDHC class 6 for this phone.

Frankly apart from the network problems which even the other phones faced, I have no issues.

The battery lasts me a long time even with 1-2 hrs usage in good signal areas.

Will post a review here shortly.

that's great to hear :) I had gotten it for 10k shipped...with free sansa clip 2GB :hap2:

BTW no network problem is faced by me now....the earlier issues were due to dual sim adaptor I was using with the phone, ever since I removed it...the network issues have been sorted out..
 
What memory card you have and what all apps for WinMo are u using. I currently have a prehistoric 256 mb microSD. Am waiting for my 4GB micro SDHC.... Will install apps on it once i get the 4gig card

Had gotten a 4GB Transcend class 6 microSD for it...
To get started i reccomend the following the apps:
1) SPB Mobile Shell w/ SPB Weather: Provides Much better UI
2) S2U2: Iphone style screen/keypad lock
3) TouchPal: Best replacement for default keyboard IMO
4) MioMap: for GPS navigation
5) Resco File Explorer & Total Commander for File Manager

Do tell me what all Apps you have installed...

Also remember to update the firmware for the phone...ASUS site has latest v4.15 firmware listed on 23rd-Jan for indian phones but it isn't downloadable, says server is busy :S ,hopefully it should be downloadable in few days...

do try out the htc diamond keyboard from xda. it seems to be far better than any other keyboard to me

Tried that one....but strangely it dosen't work on my phone :S
Anyways, i think touchpal would be better since key size is bigger...do try that once too..

did u get it from ebay....how reliable it is?
 
I guess u missed the chance.

I luckily bought it at the price mentioned 8290 along with bill and warranty from ebay itself (offcourse using the 1000 bucks off from ICICI)

the shop name is cafe gadgets, it is nearby delhi in Haryana.

You can ask him to relist the phone on ebay and yeah it is pretty reliable and I am fully satisfied with the product.

Does any one know, how can I view messages stored on SIM card on this phone...or for matter any windows mobile 6 phone(since I guess, it would be same for every winmo phone)

I can see option of sending a message to SIM but not viewing it :S
