Asus has decided to take on the the Galaxy Note 2 with its new offering the FonePad Note FHD6 which it has unveiled today in Computex.

The FonePad Note is a phablet with massive 6 inch Super IPS+ display with full HD 1080p resolution ( similar to what Note 3 is expected to feature) and under the hood it has Intel Atom Z2560 processor which is dual-core x86 chip clocked at 1.6GHz. It also includes digital stylus like the Galaxy Note.

It gets 2GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera , 1.2MP front camera, 3G HSPA+ connectivity and comes in 16GB / 32GB / 64GB storage options. It will be powered by 3100 mAh battery.

The FonePad Note will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS out of the box. It also has dual front-facing speakers with SonicMaster sound.

The specs are amazing but the price will be a deciding factor which is not yet announced. Also the Note 2 comes with a nifty software bundle which may give it an edge over the FonePad Note when it comes to features. The Note 3 is also expected to be unveiled at IFA in Aug 2013 which is rumored to come with 5.9 inch display and improved specs.
