Android Why always perform biometric authentication twice to unlock WhatsApp?

This is ongoing since last few weeks, couldn't find a solution.
I have to perform biometric authentication twice to unlock WhatsApp (set to auto lock after 30 minutes)

Any workaround?

For me it asks only occasionally to enter the 6 digit pin number no biometric authentication.

No.
Redmi Note 13 Pro Hyper os 1.x stock rom.
This happens only with whatsapp not any other app.

Yeah it seems to be crashing or something on my Pixel 7pro - when I first open the app and press my fingerprint unlock , it closes and I have to open it a second time which works... maybe after first unlocking the phone it happens because it doesn't seem to happen subsequently if I reopen tha app.

Its only an issue with WhatsApp and no other apps (banking/finance other apps work properly)
Checked internet and many have the issue, cleaning phone for dirt, improper biometric scan. tried all solutions but nothing works,

lol why clean phone for dirt etc??? its clearly a whatsapp issue, i guess will be fixed in future update, soon if many have this issue on internet.
