CPU/Mobo Athlon X2 4850e availability/prices

Hi all,
I'm a newbie to the TE forum, has surely been an enriching experience following this forum for the last few days!!! I am trying to put together a jack-of-all-trades PC together, and was thinking of building it around the GA-78 Mobo, I have read around on the intarweb that Athlon X2 4850e seems to be the best running mate to the AMD 780 (atleast in terms on power consumption). By any chance is is available in India? Bangalore?? SP Road????

I am totally undecided between the X2 5050e (just launched and a good $30 over the X2 4850e at $60 for just 100MHz more) and the X2 5400+ BE.
And all this over some "power".
Saving some power with the 5050e vs unleashing the extra power of the 5400BE when need be.

Leave the x2 4800+, just compare with the complete system of latest Intel Atom "bomb" 4 watt processor/Celeron/ Intel E2140, and the power it has got:cool2: . This should be ideal desktop for surfing and day today use.

He's looking for a "jack-of-all-trades" desktop. I don't think an Atom will quite cut it (unless the only thing he wants do is browse the internet and open Notepad and Paint).

The low power X2 are hard to come by in India. Try contacting Amarbir, he may have them in stock.
