guys please suggest me a better option among these 2 cards ? according to performance which gpu is best only performance not price ...

In terms of raw performance, especially in most current titles especially in dx 10 or perhaps dx 11 minus texellation, across most of the playable settings, 5850 is slightly faster than the 6850, 5-10% or so.

5850 is still expensive and price is same as 6870 in some cases, besides its a generation older.

At this price point i feel the MSI cyclone gtx 460 is a clear winner at 10k

I am just waiting for the gtx 560 news , reviews and local pricing to pick up a cyclone myself.

But yea as rite mentioned, 5850 is the faster card. 6870 and not 6850 was the replacement for the 5850.

No for GTX460, same performance, but higher power consumption

HD6870 FTW, actually HD6850 is the sweetest spot, but even after OCing, you dont reach any heights in performance.

If u OC HD5850 on the other hand(cake) to say 950Mhz(double cake), you get a > HD5870 card in about 1 minute of Afterburner.

From VFM point of view, either go for 6850 or GTX 570/580. The 6870 is like 10-20% faster than the 6850 but costs about 40% more.

I agree... but between HD5850 and HD6870... Buying HD6870 is a no brainer... :)

Is Bitfang even genuine?

The offer is very tempting! Currently on newegg the same card retails for 240 $ with a 40$ mail in rebate! Probably Bitfang has some direct tie up with XFX and are able to give this excellent offer.

thanks guys actually i want a good ocing and better performing card thats why i am thinking to get a 5850 ...wat say ?

go ahead with a 5850

its a good gpu to go with , although its not as power efficient as your 6850 but its a over-performer then 6850 also

you can opt for a msi twin frozer edition as it remains at a relatively lower temprature say 12 c then normal editions (as what msi claims ) , cause of dual fans

^^ GTX460 manages from 675Mgz to 900Mhz yes but it's power consumption becomes wayy too high..

Whereas HD5850 to about 900MHz consumes only HD5870 level power.

Ive seen current reviews about the 560 and the 5850 does not look good in the charts, the 6870 is almost on par with a 5870,and in crossfire they perform close to 560 in sli.get the 6870.
