if i have to get this card... i have sell my kidney.....

Post pics and diagnostic reports of your kidney.

Your looking at a card that's probably going to be in shorter supply than the 5870 especially since they have binned chips for the 5970.

Thanks Prettt....lol

fixed :)

Umm..as we are aware the review is comparing the current generation ATI with previous generation NVDA, so the performance difference is hardly surprising..but neverthless it is indeed a good card.(especially the power consumption part)

btw..ATI has now used up all its Aces..while NVDA still has all up its sleeve.

Now just need to wait for NVDA to show it *SIGH*...

Peace~

My opinion on the 5970 is that its not a good buy
Reason1: Dual GPU cards have a higher deprecation than single GPU cards, 2 X 5870 will not only be faster than the 5970, but also will have a better resale value.

Thats true but one should not overlook the point that someone who is picking up the 5970 is probably the least bit worried about the depreciation.
It would probably be a complete newbie, someone who wants to say that he has the latest and greatest or a hardcore computer enthusiast looking at pushing the limits with a single card.

And not to forget that the said person can always pick up another 5970 sometime in future(edit:in far away future) and quad crossfire it(is that even possible?)

Peace~

like they say . size DOES matter

lulz. who cares about depreciation. its sheer ecstasy of having it that matters. its like talking about having a Merc E class or S class and being worried about the mileage
