It is relevant to the thread because ,instead of fixing the things which are lying around, why do u want to implement new stuff.
madnav said:and like ebay, people would create multiple IDs here as well..
it works for ebay because they ban with respect to phone number, address, bank/paypal/cc details.
and i believe neither of those criteria will be input by the bidders before bidding.
This may be intended for better prices for sellers but the flaws in the system are easy to be exploited without expenditure on a well planned infrastructure.
I'm against bidding on TE so far. We can have a best offer system instead where people can post their expected pricing in the thread itself without counting it as a low ball..
other members can like if the price seems fair and dislike if it is clearly outright insane (if dislike button is added somewhere in the future)
I think a 'Senior Members Only' Sub Forum should be on the cards... Unless the 'Senior' Members oppose to that as well...m-jeri said:Oh gee.
Why dont the staff create a sub forum just for the self appointed eleetists/senior members. So that no one disturbs their old age home. And they dont disturb others. They can relax and talk abt the good old days when they were running around trolling in forums.
Whenever some old members wants to get a moot point across they just drop the word "senior". Makes others feel weird.

Aman27deep said:Renegade am not for this idea, but i am certainly not against it. But you HAVE to give us a choice which type of a market deal we want to have, whether a normal deal or an auction (just like IVG), and if you implement it as auction only it'd be the most stupid thing that has ever happened.
And for another thing, nowdays i am seeing many things relating to "senior members" and stuff. Makes no sense. Being a Senior member is relative. A Person might be 15 years old and have 10,000 posts. Does that make him senior? A very knowledgeable person who has just registered at the forums, and lets say he has 10 posts, just how in the hell is he any less senior to the 10,000 post Fifteen year old guy. Seniority on tech forums do NOT exist as tech lovers have no age, just a hobby/liking/nerdness. And you certainly should not get Senior member benefits.
Even if you are an Admin or a Mod the only thing you are supposed to do is to make sure the "rules" are supposedly followed and nothing else as far as I think. Too much Admin Bullying these days.
And just do not make TE like Ebay, please don't :|
It’s just a personal opinion so everyone including the staff is open to pitch in with their views.

Yes, they do get special treatment for being around for long...because some of us interact with each other beyond TE over a period pf time.
How would you like if i decide to sell my atrix for 20k tomorrow and a newbie snatches it from me before you?
Shall be considerate about your stay and contribution to the forum ? OR shall be concerned about just my sale?
Who gave them special treatment?. If thats the case then why not stop forum membership after they joined.? Delete other users then.madnav said:@ People against seniors members
