Were ur speakers hooked to a sound card before?? :P

The 780G has a Realtek ALC889A chip onboard which's supposedly pretty decent for an HD Audio setup;

Have u tweaked the settings from the Realtek HD Sound Effect manager from Control Panel?? :)

What do you mean by low seriously are you trying to compare your X 230 to the MX 5021 or were you on some good headphones earlier.

I have the same motherboard clubbed with creative T7700 speakers, audio quality is very good, have good quality even at half volumes in the speaker settings.

i had an MSI Via mobo before with Realtek ALC883. no problems with low audio on that.
Plantronics Audio 350 headphones were used before along with the X230. i went almost deaf at a little less than half volumes before. now i hav to crank it up to 3/4th.
no settings were changed as its already set to 2CH audio. in the HD control panel.

maybe i m going deaf with age!!:huh:

guys is there any utility like sonic focus [which is designed for intel mobo\soundmax audio] for Realtek ALC889A .........i had used it on d865gbf and audio output was quite noise free....but since i upgraded to realtek ..no such thing for altering...dynamics\brilience\width etc....

Realtek HD manager???
perhaps there is a 3rd party tool around...

keeping discussions on the realtek HD audio on ga-ma78, I have been having issues with the audio as in the audio suddenly stops working and I have to restart the windows audio service manually.....but then it may be an issue with the windows xp x64 driver.....

try using another output jack the rears maybe , if there is any physical damage to the output on your current one

@sysrq
niffy tool... sound is much better, much fuller :hap2: ... sadly the SRS software is not a freeware. :(
i guess i had stupid high standards:rofl: the onboard sound is not that bad!!
nyways Guys thanks fer the help!!
