PC Peripherals audio output

Hey guys,

i have a noob question...
through which do i get better audio output?
The audio out on the back of my mobo(ASrock p67 extreme 4) or through the audio out on the back of my Samsung B2330 which is connected via hdmi cable to my sapphire hd 6870?

I have a pair of 2.1 harman kardon soundstick iii's that i wanna hook up to my computer and want to connect to a better sound generating port...
 
^^ The rear port and the front port will be better than the the AMD graphics card output. Pity those Soundsticks don't have an optical out.
