All the Audio Technica products that we have listed here are very good value for money. These were all hand picked after auditioning them in Singapore. The products are all very well rated against the price. The price for all India shipping is mentioned at the beginning of the thread.

You may consider the following products in and around 2500.

ATH-M20 and ATH-500, ATH-AD300.

Gautam, Do you have AD700 in stock as well?

Please let me know the pricing for M50 and AD700.

My purpose for getting any of them would be gamin + movies + music. :)

And, also reply to my PM regarding Clip+.

TIA

Re: Audio Technica entry-mid level Headphones-AD300, AD500, M20, M35 ,T200 and T500.

^ AD700 is currently not in stock . ATH-M50 is available for Rs.7350 shipped. We are trying to work out some nice price for the AD700, they should most probably be available from next month. We will keep you updated about the same.

Re: Audio Technica entry-mid level Headphones-AD300, AD500, M20, M35 ,T200 and T500.

This is my first query to buy a headphone in office. :S.

Well max budget is 5000. nothing more please. which is the perfect pick for me?

I need one just for music. The bass should be deep and perfect without any distortion, vocals should be clear.

Mainly listens to pop, hip hop, normal bolly songs. Mainly fast paced ones.

Re: Audio Technica entry-mid level Headphones-AD300, AD500, M20, M35 ,T200 and T500.

Wow! You have some good office. :). We would hands down recommend you ATH-M35. We also have AD500 in the price range, however as the AD series will attract attention and owing to open housing construction (leaking in and out of sound) it is not recommended for office use.

ATH-M35 for the price will be joy for a long long time. It is black in colour, closed can, will blend very well with your office environment.

Re: Audio Technica entry-mid level Headphones-AD300, AD500, M20, M35 ,T200 and T500.

yeas.

The office environment is quite. Everyone got good headphones. so its not a issue as long as it doesn't disturb others. So sound shouldn't leak.
:S I thght so kinda things are way too expensive.

So the M35 is 3400 shipped r8?. Please confirm. And this doesnt need any amp's or anything r8?.

As soon as i get my paycheck u can expect a order then

Re: Audio Technica entry-mid level Headphones-AD300, AD500, M20, M35 ,T200 and T500.

^^ No amp required. Did not see any big benefit from using a 25k headphone amp so no worries. Sound isolation is pretty good so it shouldn't leak much sound. :)

Re: Audio Technica entry-mid level Headphones-AD300, AD500, M20, M35 ,T200 and T500.

I got the M35 for office use too. And I am pretty happy about it. I am running it off a MBP13 and an XPS15 (2011 SNB) at office and off the Xonar DX/HRT MS2 at home.

I'd say amping wont matter much, but a good source will. They sound nice on the Dell (WASAPI/No Dither/16-44), much better on the MBP and are in a different league altogether on the Xonar. So you may want to use the saved 1600 + some more to get a decent source (assuming you don't have one)

Re: Audio Technica entry-mid level Headphones-AD300, AD500, M20, M35 ,T200 and T500.

I use a dell optiplex.. :S. :S.

Re: Audio Technica entry-mid level Headphones-AD300, AD500, M20, M35 ,T200 and T500.

^ The M35 performs well with even a onboard soundcard . Having a discrete soundcard is an added benefit as it provides with better clarity. In terms of power an onboard can easily drive them.

Re: Audio Technica entry-mid level Headphones-AD300, AD500, M20, M35 ,T200 and T500.

Hi,

A friend was looking for the Audio Technica series in Chennai (T500 and M35 specifically) and says Mahavir doesn't have them. Are there any other dealers stocking them?

Also just out of curiosity, why don't you guys stock the closed ear A300/A500 ?

Thanks in advance :)

Re: Audio Technica entry-mid level Headphones-AD300, AD500, M20, M35 ,T200 and T500.

Mahavir Peripherals is only stocking a selected few models like M20 ,AD300 etc so T500 and M35 might not be available with them. As of no we do not have any other dealers in Chennai stocking AT-headphones .If you have any reliable dealer to suggest , please let us know.

Your friend is most welcome to order the headphones directly from us .We ship within 24hrs of payment and deliver within 1-3 days.

Regarding the closed models , during our initial testing and product selection stage for AT-India ,we found the closed models like M35,M50,T500 etc to be better than A300/500 hence they were left out .

Re: Audio Technica entry-mid level Headphones-AD300, AD500, M20, M35 ,T200 and T500.

Yes I have asked him to order direct from you. I guess he wanted to physically see the headphones up front since he's a bit confused about the size.

So in your opinion the T500 > A500 ?

Another dealer I could recommend would be Delta Peripherals, also in Narasingapuram street. Although I assumed Mahavir would have been more interested since they were the first to pick up on Sennheiser. You could try IT Depot also, they have 4 stores spread out across the city so have a better reach.

Thanks! :)

Re: Audio Technica entry-mid level Headphones-AD300, AD500, M20, M35 ,T200 and T500.

Yes,we would rate the T500 to better than A500 .You could try the M35 as well, they sound much better than their price.

We will check with Delta and IT Depot . Thanks for the information .

Re: Audio Technica entry-mid level Headphones-AD300, AD500, M20, M35 ,T200 and T500.

I need a pair of cans that will mostly be driven from a desktop PC's soundblaster sound-card. I'll use it mostly for movies and music. Budget is 3.5k'ish.

Having no idea of their sound quality, I'm confused between T500, M35 & AD300 and need your suggestion. Please help :)

Re: Audio Technica entry-mid level Headphones-AD300, AD500, M20, M35 ,T200 and T500.

The T500 and M35 are closed cans providing good isolation and tight bass. M35 is very neutral and T500 has slightly dark sound signature. The AD300 is balanced as well but with very good soundstage due to its open nature . Open type headphones leak a lot of sound as well and don't provide a lot of noise isolation.

Comfort wise the AD300 and T500 are best followed by M35.Chose accordingly . You could also contact Brendon and Fah33m as they have tried the M35 and few other Audio Technica models.

Re: Audio Technica entry-mid level Headphones-AD300, AD500, M20, M35 ,T200 and T500.

Thanks for the quick reply. Right now I find myself tilted slightly in the favor of T500. I will ask around and get back to you soon :)

***** edit

I'll go with the M35. Its neutral, punchy and foldable as well :)

Its 3500 shipped na ?

YGPM.
