i understand when people play games like cs / quake / teamfortress , etc....
but i get bowled away when i see people playing games like bowling,badminton,football,cricket etc on pcs and consoles...:| (not to be a prick here but i dont see how playing actual sport games can be so exciting.:|)...
wat next bodybuilding games?.. :|.... u set dumble weight & things & simulate exercises on tv/pc while sitting and munching chips and drinking beer..?

Umm... well, I dont exactly agree with you there. There are some good sports games. After hours of blasting people in fps, its can be a pleasant change...
 
Well if you can straight drive like Tendulkar or slog over mid wicket like Yuvi in real life then surely you dont need to play a cricket game on PC. We play the games to do what we just cannot do in real life. Moreover i would never get to face brett lee in real life, would i??.

Also, after spending most of the day at college or work, a sport game with 3 or 4 friends playing together is refreshing. Coz in FPS or RPG you gotta immerse in the storyline before enjoying it. That would be impossible if you are dead tired and wanna have just some fun. Thus sports game are perfect, you dont need to know about story, everything works on instinct.

:D I just dont get it how some people play FPS. Same shoot anything which moves and why you are the only person to save the world from Armageddon :p... Most of FPS gets repetitive after some time. But the beauty of sports game is that they are so random and unpredictable. Hence you can never get bored. And did i mention replayability. How many time can you play completely through your fav HL2 . 4,5 or max 6 time. Everytime there would be same story which eventually bore you on 4th or 5th playthrough. In Sports game one runout, one edge can change the game. YOu can never know whats it gonna be untill the game ends. I still remember the painfull loss at the hands of my opponent in a microsoft sponsored FIFA 09 tournament final. I was leading 3-2 then he scored a goal in injury time and went on to win in penalty shootout. Damn the prize was a XBOX 360 for winner, all i got was a XBOX controller. But thats just shows the unpredictability of the sports gmaes and fun in them.
 
So guys, mathc is finally over. Here is scorecard. My custom player gave a great allround performance. 600+ with bat and 11 wickets in the match. :bleh

I never played hl/hl2 or anything from those series except for CSS & TF2...& TF2 is the Shitz......

Imagine you are the last person in a css scrim,map is dust2...opposite team has 3 people alive...c4 is at stairs, 1 of CT is in ct spawn,2nd is in bombsite A platform, 3rd is hiding in A long PIT with a AWP. You have 60 hp left...you pick up the c4 in strs, smoke ct spawn entrace, somehow manage to kill the bombsite A guy and CT spawn one with some shots & u lose some health too...now u are ~25-40 hp left. You try to plant the c4 at strs side, & u did..u jump down & hide near the ct spawn cover. You wait patiencely till the last CT comes to A to diffuse...he throws flashes & nades at A & CT SPAWN..u are still camping...he fake diffuses, tats when u start walking very slowly...

Time is running out and he has to diffuse or go, he chooses to diffuse..~3.5 secs over...by now u are right behind him , He turns around & before he can even get control of the gun , you Kill him - 1 SHOT in head (by now everyone on team is screaming on mic & you have a smile of accomplishment on your face), & u also die...cause c4 explodes...

Now thats css orgasm...:p..

In the match whose scorecard is posted above, Hussey was playing solid in first inning. Then i decided to set him up like real life. I bowled 2 continuous overs of outswinger from overthe wicket. Balls were pitch on a good length jus on the off stump and leaving hussey. He defended some and left the most of them. Now in the third over to hussey i again bowled 2 outswingers, he left both. Now i decided to execute my plan. I selected the outswinger and placed the cursor just where i bowled last ball,but this time i changed my delivery just before bowler reached the stump to inswinger. Bang, Hussey played a defensive prod for a outswinger. He was dead plumb in front of the stumps. I literally did a small celebration. hurrraaay.

This instance is from a T20 between India and NZ at Auckland. I was batting as india. Kiwis batted first and scored a good 187 in 20 overs. That was quite an ask to chase on auckland pitch. Now Sehwag and tendulkar gave india blazing start. My socre was 114/3 after 11 overs. Then Vettori came into the attack. I am crap against spinners. Soon i was reduced to 146/7. I kept on loosing wickets and it all came down to final over. Irfan and Bhajji on the batting. India required 10 to win, kiwi's need 1 wicket. Irfan was on strike.

1st ball: Slower one from Mills outside off stump. Pathan tried a big slog on the off side and missed. 10 from 5 balls

2nd ball: Strange delivery by mills. No fine leg or deep square leg and he bowled a short pitch ball. Pathan dispatched it easily for 4.

6 from 4 balls.

3rd ball: No run. Yorker outside off stump.

6from 3 balls

4th ball: No ball, Pathan gets a single down to thirdman. Bhajji on strike.

4 from 3 balls

4th ball: Short outside off. Bhajji mistimed it. Inside edge to the keeper on one bounce.

4 from 2 balls.

5th balls: Inswinging yorker. Bhajji danced down the track, inside edge, ball missed the leg stump and the diving keepr. 4 behind the stumps.......

India won with one ball to spare. Boy, the feeling i got after that is only seconded by orgasm :p

Well, H singh is bhajji. My custom player is gaurav sheoran who got out early. Damn i could have scored 600 wid bhajji but ishant got bowled due to a inside edge.
Game is a lot better than the crap we used to get from ea in past. Game is good but i am too good :rofl .
 
You thought the scorecard in my last thread was ridiculous:S. Think again:bleh:.... Check the scorecard from second test between India(Human) vs Australia(AI)..:rofl::rofl::rofl:

P.S: This match was also on Hard mode...... If anyone has doubt then i could upload the savegame of the match... So you can see it urself....
