Australia Bans Social Media for people below 16

Only parents can control this. Govt, at the best can make a law. what are they going to do, arrest people for this? Kids are smart these days, they all know how to download and use a VPN (or other relevant s/w) to bypass the restrictions.

India should ban all social media (for people below 60 years) as long as they allow Ali-express so poor Indians like us can buy affordable electronics. We might even be able to buy a quantum computer in the future.

Children under 18 will require parental consent for accessing social media
The DPDP Act defines a child as someone below the age of 18, and mandates that parental consent is required to process the data of a child.

MeitY uses 'she/her' pronouns for genders in draft DPDP Rules 2025
In the draft rules, the pronoun 'she' has been used 24 times, and 'her' (including 'herself') around 70 times.
