Yes !!! He lost !!

7-5, 6-3, 7-6(7-5)

Now, Novak will play Tsonga in the finals.... This is absolutely shocking !!

oh i was checking the scores at the website...missed the match though :(

It was evident before the match that Djokovic was in gr8 touch and Federer wasn't.

Nadal had once said that Djokovic is world number 1 material.

Nah... i was pretty much CONFIDENT of this thing..

I have been following Federer since his 1st match.. and i knew he was surviving because of his IMAGE in the mind of other players. His game has seriosly deteriorated since last Australian Open...

He didnt lose a single set last year at Australian Open..

He lost French Open to Nadal

He ALMOST LOST Wimbledon to Nadal in 5 setter where he was underdog whole match

He ALMOST LOST US Open to Djokovic with 7-6 7-6 6-4 where Djokovic choked under pressure during Tie Breakers

He ALMOST lost to new guy Tipsaravic in 3rd round

And I knew that he wasnt gonna win here...

I am a huge fan of Federer but i guess he really needs to examine his game .. His backhand is his weakest point.. He just has to SLICE 90% of the time with backhand and whenever he gives a top spin.. its way to slow.. His forehand is his weapon but on days like these when forehands dont work... Its impossible for him..

He isnt flexible on the court, Doesnt cover the court like Nadal does..

Besides most important factor in his losing the match was his OVERCONFIDENCE.. I have followed his each and every interview (pre match/post match/pre tournament) and he recently (since last yr) he has got this ATTITUDE that he is the best and he is UNBEATABLE. Little confidence helps, but undermining others is no good.

Also its not that others are catching up to Federer.. Federer is sliding down..

I am definitely disappointed and now i am goin to support Tsonga during finals...

^^ lol dnt assume so much

He lost french open cause his lost opportunities just like he did in madrid against David

He was pushed in wimbledon by a amazing nadal who would have beaten any1 else that day

Won a tough US open even when he wasn't at his best, just notice how he peaked during Shanghai playing his best tennis of the year there.

that's sums him up, fr sure it seemed since the start that he thought he would just need to walk out on the court to win the open, and Novak capitalized. But can't blame the guy also......hes won when hes not in form, hes won when hes not at his best, won when he was behind, won when hes been on the ropes, won when hes been outrunned etc etc. Any1 would cross the line into too much confidence when you do that against the best in the world. Think it this way, he was the most unprepared player at the open and he made it to the semi's and was competitive against some1 at his peak.

Dnt think his game is the prob, just some mental issues in my opinion. Waise it remains to be seen how he goes about things now,but motivated fed will be a much better to see then a over-confident 1

I too was shocked at this result.

When i saw the way he played in some news show , it was looking as if he was not himself.

well TBH this was expected Novak was aboslutly brilliant last season and was ever improving he infact won the masters by the end of last year by beating the top 3 which included fedrer, nadal and roddick... so may be not as shocking but still the straight sets win was what was bit shocking
