Hi , can anyone confirm if this model is being phased out or not. I visited a couple of Nokia showrooms in B'lore and they are saying this model is no longer in the market.

Can someone verify if this phone is available in your city (especially Kolkata, Bangalore)? I wanted to but this phone as it had the best features within my budget of 10K.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Hi dude,

I just checked out phone arena and also the 13 odd pages of user reviews.

Even there ppl have posed the same qs and no confirmation if the ph is still available or not

It is difficult to find in local stores. I finally bought the mobile from eBAY, just a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely satisfied with the mobile, though the battery could have been better.

Thx for the info. I have never shopped in EBay. Can u tell me if the prices are similar and if it is reliable or not?

Also how long do u think the battery last if I use it only for calling (say daily 1-2 hr)

Paid 10.7K for the mobile at ebay. Ebay prices are known to be higher than the local retailers, but you can make up for that by using coupon codes. I had used the Monsoon offer through which I'll be getting a 160GB HDD for free. :D You'll have to look for a reliable seller at ebay. Search for a shop named harshcorp. He is absolutely reliable, I bought my mobile from him only.

Reg the battery, if it is going to be just calls, I can risk saying that you'll be charging it once in 2 to 3 days. My typical usage includes around 30 mins calls a day, 45 to 60 mins ngage gaming, and 10 to 20 mins EDGE browsing. It lasts 2.5 days with this workload.

And another thing. I have heard that this ph is a bit slow and hangs when u r using Symbian appl. Is it true?
have u faced any hang/ restart/ slow issues?

So will it be prudent to buy this ph from ebay. I mean is the warranty still valid? Also I had mailed to Nokia CC and this is their reply:

Phones bought from ebay carry the same warranty as the others. All you need is an original bill.
