HI ,
I am running Avast Internet Security 6 and also the comodo firewall 5:ohyeah: (only firewall) .
Till now i haven't encountered any issue but want your views about the above combination.
And also the system is pretty fast with the combo compared to KIS alone:S.
Will it have any adverse effects and what are the settings to be done for the efficient functioning of the above combo.

i dont like avast that much ,my pc failed with avast twice,i use avg ,its better than avast since my pc is still running virus free.

@op why are you using the comodo firewall, when AIS 6 have inbuilt firewall.
I am using AIS 6 + Spybot search and destroy (only when needed), and i can say that my system is virus free and i have been using avast form last 4-5 years

@CA50

I am using comodo firewall because of its reputation.

I heard that it is the best free firewall and better than AIS firewall.

So i switched to the combo.

^ whats bad with AIS firewall, set the firewall to ask the user whenever any application wants to access net, then you are GOD of your system, nothing can access the net :)

^ Yep :)
Why do use another firewall and to share your valuable system resource

@others
Another important feature of AIS 6 is safezone

#[member='shefeeqonline'], is it necessary to bump an almost a year old thread ?

BTW Avast 7 is out

Now that the dead is out of grave;

Avast IS is not free right? or I am not looking at the right place.

I tried avira free version and comodo FW yesterday .But after updating avira , it freezed my windows 7 32bit . now using 30 days trial version of KIS .
how is avast +comdo combination ?

On XP 64, Comodo did not allow Avast to update itself. Known issue (around 8-10 months back), checked Avast forum and uninstalled comodo, working fine since than.

though I will say, considering that they both are free, why not give it a try.
