which do u think is the best guys ?
also recommend other antivirus software which u think is the best and it should be also free!

1. I always use avira, no problems till date. + pretty good on resources.

2. Probably a virus/spyware. Try avira and spybot scans.
 
I support Avast because I can disable the Standard Shield and retain high program launch performance, while keeping network shield and web shield enabled for protection from hazardous incoming content from the internet.

anyways back to the topic...have any of u guys tried BitDefender... Its bloody awesome..i say super...after using crappy Zone Alarm, Pirated and not working NOD 32s and Kasperskys...the Bitdefender wins hands down...i have been using BD for over months now and the experience has been good...good Virus detection good firewall...regular updates, lightweight...the list goes on ...

well unlike Avira or Avast...this one's not free..

I know people swear by AVAST + AD-WARE combi. have been using since long no problems at all. One needs to be aware on what we "click" while surfing the net too.
 
well i have used both Avira and Avast.. and have to say that avira is much better than avast at detecting trojans.. and gives a better real time protection..
for avira :
pro's: excellent scanner.. very good at detecting trojans..anti phishing, fast scanner,good realtime protection, can schedule scans..antirootkit etc

cons: delays startup..,updates slow,ads pop up while updating.. (behaves like a adware while updating.. thts kinda annoying), AND NO ANTISPYWARE...also tends to hang up when installed on heavyly infected comps..guess tht certain viruses disable the software..\

for Avast:
pros: good detection rates, has an inbuilt antispyware as well as antirootkit..realtime protection is good..(avira's better)..also comes with a basic firewall,best part is it has a scan on reboot option.. so anyvirus tht tend to hide on reboot are detected..has a strong self protection..(it cannot be disabled by viruses,While AVIRA CAN BE) P2P shield nd IM shield

Cons: not good at detecting trojans,anti spyware isn all that gr8,(Ad-Aware's better) scanning takes really long time.. specially if there are video and music files on your comp..which is annoying..

in the end despite many advatages of avast.. i would stick on to avira.. as it as better detection rates than avast..and for comps in which avira hangsup would suggest u all to install avast.. update.. run a scan on reboot than install avira again..my recomandation for a malware free comp in avira,ad-aware, and comodo firewall..
 
other free anti malware softwares are..1 AVG,2- A-Squared free,3- bitdefender free,4-rising antivirus free(new one haven tried out yet.. but has good feed back from users)
anti spywares..
1-ad-aware, 2-spyware doctor,3-spy sweeper,4-spybot search and destroy(not recommended)5-super antispyware free..
 
+1 for Avast.. For its simplicity n is easy on system... doesn't eat up memory n different features can be controlled in an elegant way...
