I small tip. Cut the External DVD drive. Surely it will reduce the cost by 2-3k. Many ppl here in TE can install XP via flash drives. At 15-16+shipping the deal would look great. :D

I second this. Would love to see a quote without the drive.

Edit: Can we also pick it up from your shop in Nehru place? I am assuming you are the same SMC?
 
Actually the bundled DVD drive was supposed to be the main attraction of the deal :P Seems like it backfired a little. I will try to get a deal without the Optical drive if possible.

@m47r1m : Most Probably it should be available at the counter, as my department is different from the counter sales deptt. And yea, I am from the Same SMC.

It indeed is a good deal with optical drive.. but it's always good to have options..
u can keep both options open with drive n without..

I, for one, am interested in it with drive.. but will confirm in a couple of days...

Hey, I am interested in this, only if you can price it w/o external dvd drive. I am a fence- sitter with the current price. Remove the external drive from the package and I am in. And if you reduce the price further by giving it w/o XP, then just PM me y'r a/c details and the money will be in y'r a/c.

Would love the deal without external DVD writer, without XP and listing it on eBay.. Would really make this a steal as there are also Christmas offers going on eBay.. :D

I think because of the arrival of the imminent New Models with Windows 7 & also with Pineview Atom processor ( already released ) which are more power efficient ( 20% longer battery life ) and have better graphics,ASUS & all and sundry are trying to get rid of old Atom based netbooks- Hence this deal is occuring.
Actually even Samsung N-140 is available for about 14k with Win xp bundled. Please PM if can be made available without the DVD writer ( PS who writes DVD,S any more ).
 
I am also planning to gift myself a netbook this festive season (if I get a good deal, that is). I am currently eyeing Samsung N138/N140. I would consider this deal if it is offered without DVD Writer, and possibly without OS. Ebay listing will surely make it irresistible.

But your deal with DVD Writer is good too, for people who need a DVD Writer.

1. Sorry, not available in black :(

2. As of now, it is not possible to change the config (upgrade RAM or degrade OS).

3. This can be made available without the DVD RW :). the price will be :

16k + Shipping (200-300 depending on the location)

4. We will soon be starting on ebay also. Hope to make it quick for you guys though.

Any other queries are always welcome.
