Just when we thought our education system couldnt get any more juvenile, it turns around and chucks a turd-pie right on your face.
Anna University has officially announced a no-cellphone rule for itself and all affiliated colleges. Along with this feacal treat, we get a side dish of sauted shit-wad. Jeans, tshirts and 'tight-fitting' clothes are now not allowed. When all of these were unofficial, and brought up only to tick off students, it was all fine...but now the big AU has given the green light to make our last year a swirling turd-hole.
I agree, use of cellphones during class hours should be forbidden (although i'm guilty of doing the same); but making it outrightly forbidden is just crap. Its not like the college makes it convenient to use their phones on campus anyway. Profs carry them into class, and not to mention its usually theirs which end up causing more of a stir than ours do. Just a little more maturity of handling the situation of cell phone usage would solve all problems. Allowing ppl to responsibly accept important calls by being excused from the class room. Ofcourse its possible for ppl to exploit this, but by making it transparent this could be curbed.
Wait a second...computers can be used to browse porn..lets ban computers. Women can be used for sex..lets become non-coed. Assholes can be used for sodomy and not just their biological defeacating function...lets plug them up with cement (udapa sure as hell got SOMETHING hard up there).
And the clothes! No jeans! why the fu(k not! Blue probably turns proffesors on and distracts them from dispatching their duties. And of course, tight-fiting has been clearly defined as anything with less than 3 +-.05 cm clearance fit. Lets get back to a wad of solid concrete forming an interference fit with AU's ass.
They say the above mentioned apparel 'detract from the seriousness of their college education'. Yeah, the fact that levi strauss makes pants out of denim are the sole reason of me having 2 arrears in the second semester...and not the fact that the prescribed textbook was a tome of out-off-sylabus bullpoop (iit-ans irritate me).
The only reason that these rules are being made are that of a deep rooted sense of insecurity and trying to over-compensate/hide it behind a facade of 'discipline'. They know their sylabus and affiliate colleges are inadequate educational functionaries. They know that students are starting to realize that they are wasting 4 years of their lives BEFORE they pay their fees. So lets atleast fool the partents into thinking that we'll ateast impose a sense of discipline on their kids which they failed to do in the past 18 years.
These regulations dont even address the issues they claim. Cellphones dont distract us from class...the lectures are shit boring. Deal with THAT issue first by making the sylabus provide enough leeway for classes to be interactive. Oh yeah, and update the proffesors' vocabulary with the word 'interactive'. You think clothes detract from an institute's esteem and proffesionalism. First check out the managments' agendas whos underlying reason for ANYTHING they do is image and not for the betterment of the very people who line thier pockets. No matter how much gift-wrap you roll a turd in...you're bound to smell it sooner or later.
Now, i must get back to studying for my analytical writing section. Apparently my essays are too 'feacially-oriented'. WHat a pile of uber-turd.
