Aces170 said:^^ Nope not as far as I know, infact they even have gone ahead and design tested their nxt gen proccy's using 32nm process....
Intel is leagues ahead, the question is will AMD be able to survive the nxt few mths, or will it be consumed by some memory giant (hints Samsung)![]()
The Sorcerer said:Amd vs intel is going to be as great as a knockout match to be supreme, david vs goliath, autobots vs decepticons. Will amd be the next heavyweight or will intel still be the king of kings! One thing you can expect- amd can blow the monopoly player when it comes to pricing. Stay tuned to september 10 for the crown!

The 3.0Ghz FX-80 will be no less than $1000, and the desktop chips are Phenom X4 running between 2.2-2.4Ghz priced at around $250 to 400.
Crazy_Eddy said:^ Yeah the consumer variant .. Phenom X2 and X4 is slated to launch around Dec - if they dont delay things.
SharekhaN said:imho , the 2 core variants of the new amd line should be good enough . C2D wont be phased out soon , so agena has time to build market and probably a double whammy with the next gen AMD processor further improving its chances
have said that , we expected AMD to bankrupt .. that may not be the case .
i am sure the timing couldnt have been better .
AMD has DELL as an OEM , providing its sales team manage to rake in some better margins , the Holiday season should see some good AMD numbers .
Just what AMD wanted from Santa .
hoping for the best .
