Someday we'll see cabinets with provision for gap on the front side of the cabinet and designer gfx cards with fancy lights coming out thru it :rofl:

Edit: Btw, i see everything in pairs..2 gfx cards..2 cpus..2 pairs of ram(with space for more)..gawd, n they call this a desktop pc..?? :O
 
The R600 was having some slight problems, mainly with current leakage.

DAAMIT forced a respin, this wasn't your usual GPU respin but also a move to 65nm.

This effectively stopped the leak, cutting power consumption by a third, now under 200w, and allows DAAMIT engineers to push the silicon to a clock speed to about 1ghz!
