Storage Solutions Barracuda 7200.12 vs WD Caviar Black

Searched a lot but didn't find anything near to what i wanted to know.

Can anyone clarify which of the two 500GB HDD's is better and in which department. (and faster overall)

^^ Update - Not sure about the WD Black , bought the 500GB 7200.12 (2850) finally , feels quite quick.

I think you made a good choice, the WD black supposedly makes too much noise.
