21-30k Basic Laptop below 22K

Hi,

My Friend wants to purchase a basic laptop under 22K
  • What's your Budget? 22K
  • What will be your primary usage for the notebook be? web surfing, office apps and general stuff nothing processor intensive
  • What size and weight considerations do you have? 15" or less
  • Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest? No Preference, Quality should be good
  • Any other considerations? Good Battery life
 
At 22k, you will be most probably getting a Intel Pentium chip. Check Inspiron 15 3000 series from Dell, B50-80 series or G series from Lenovo.
 
You should be able to get the ASUS 11.6" i3 4005U with 4GB + 500GB for about 21K, but no Windows. The same laptop was available for 24.3K yesterday night on Amazon with Windows 8.1 SL. The Dell Vostro 3000 series without Windows also do occasionally retail for about 25K, these are better than the ASUS since they are 14"/15.6" laptops vs 11.6". Do note that all of them will come with a single RAM slot, so the max you can upgrade to - at least for now is 8GB.
