I need a basic phone really comfy for SMS'ing plus FM capabled & with good battery (talktime hours). Please suggest, with the latest market price, if possible. Also, is SE J230i's keypad good for messaging? Thanks.

Moto W220 a.k.a. Moto Flip - 3k

Samsung has a flip model in this range too...check that out...

Nokia 1100 :P

Nokia 1100 for messaging as well! I wouldn recommend SE, Moto or any other brand for msgin. Nokia is the best for messaging!

Motorola W220 :D

W220 looks tempting with talktime of 8 hrs, design doesn't look bad either. I m not sure if Nokia 1100 is still available in the market, great for messaging though. You guys know if new models would be coming out shortly in this price range?

Per me 2626 is good. It is cheap has soft and smooth keys along with good FM also you can set mp3 ringtones. This is the cheap and best from Nokia at 2950/-

nokia 2626 is only available in wooden colour though iirc, so beware of that before plunging the cash for it...

Don't ignore the Moto C168. Should be around 2400. A bit old perhaps but really gr8 battery stamina.

have changed 3 handsfree in one year.. within warranty, so all free..

n after 4 days of warranty getting over, handsfree working for radio but not for calls...

opt for Nokia, something as basic as Nokia 6030 wud also suffice..

O yes! Nokia 6030 is good for you man. Its god FM and a great battery life. Retails for ~2.7k i think. Pretty decent to msg too.

LOL using the 6030 now. My sister's old phone is troubling her so i'm going to give her the 6030 n get myself a new one, cheap one though :D. Therefore, i would like to go for a different one, by the way gr8 phone for its price.

As for the 2626, don't u guys find the color combinations a bit awkward :bleh: ? Dunno if it's only me though.

I guess i would hav to decide in the shop itself, color n ergonomics wise. Keeping my fingers crossed for new releases.

oo loll.. well just buy another one :D lol.. and i agree with you. i hate the colour theme of the 2626
