Hey guys....
It's time for my next upgrade. The MeElec M6 was a really good upgrade from the SM PL21 with the better soundstage and everything. I use a Rockboxed Fuze and I'm now looking for more of that "BOOM BOOM" bass. I really loved the bass from the Bose iem but the eartips won't fit me. I need an iem with really good soundstage, the boomy bass, strong mids, medium highs and maximum isolation. May be a bit hard to get all these under this small budget. But pls help out. :ohyeah:

S4 :
sound stage - check.
bass- check
mids- check ( somewhat )
treble - a little issue of sibilance.
Isolation - check :D ( best of the lot )

Monster turbine
sound stage - :(
bass- check
mids- check
treble - check
Isolation -Check

REZERO
sound stage - Donno.
bass- :( ( good, but certainly not according to your preference.)
meds- check
treble - check
Isolation- check

Brainwavz M2
sound stage - :(
bass- check
mids- check
treble - check
isolation - check

Brainwavz M3

sound stage - :(
bass- good quality bass but might be a little less for you ( help me out here M3 owners )
mids- check
treble - check
Isolation Check.

Below 5K its hard to find everything you are looking for , so take your pick.

otherwise increase your budget and get something like the radius DDM. ( suits your preference, but the isolation sucks )

Pure bass / sub-bas lover and don't mind some sibilant treble- Hippo VB !!

Love heavy rumbling bass with decent speed and attack , good mids / treble and a little congested soundstage - Brainwavz M2 .

Need perfect balance of bass , mids and treble with good soundstage - Brainwavz M3 .

Even the Monster Turbine is an option worth considering but since I haven't personally tried it , can't comment on the sound :).

M3 bass is not boomy so maybe the M2s will be better suited. Or the S4s are pretty good to boot.

If you listen to music at high volumes then the M2 might just be a better bet. :)

I've used both M2 and Klipsch S4. found S4 better in all respects (comfort, isolation, sound stage and bass )

Fah33m...what's your opinion on the Klipsch S4?
And yeah...I do love rumbling bass.

So right now I have 2 options-
Klipsch S4
Brainwavz M2

How do I decide? What differences are there?

<Typed & posted a lengthy one on all the bassy IEMs I've heard, only to see that choices were already down to S4 & M2. deleted due to irrelevance for the thread>

Reading your bass requirement I think Monster turbine suits you. Avoid M3/RE series

You could give M2 a thought too but soundstage is something both these IEM's cant provide you much. S4 could also be a good option. I'd say decide amongst these three.

Yeah brainwavz M2 does not have good soundstage, if soundstage is your requirement (important ) , avoid it.

Hippo VB is a good choice, Great sub bass, but the mids are lacking, and has issues of sibilance.

Monster is also good , so is S4, monster former lacks a little in soundstage and S4 lacks in treble detail ( with some issues of sibilance. )

you have to decide.

While they aren't that expensive, the R1's are something to consider?

I tried them out at Faheem's, loved the bass on those IEM's just that I preferred the M6 over the R1 for its better mids. :P

^ MEElectronics Wooden earphones -R1 . Bass monsters .That's it :P . It wouldn't even be a n upgrade from M6 . So don't even consider it . Chose from the M2 or S4 .Wont go wrong with either of them . Coming from M6s bass I am sure you will love the M2s bass :D

final comparison- does the brainwavz M2 have a better soundstage than the MeElec M6? If it does, then i can go for it.
Also I use the triflanges on the m6. So will there be any problem with fitting the m2's single tips on my ear or does it come with triflanges too?

^^ you won't have any problems of fit with the medium tips on the M2 if you use the bigger triflanges on the M6. Triflanges/biflanges don't give good fit for me with the M2 though (also not included in the package).

The NE700x would have been a good option over the M2(better detail, slightly bigger soundstage) but not worth it atm considering the difficulty in sourcing it.

The NE700X is a perfect IEM between the M2 and M3 actually . I had got one for Chiron and Toxicdrift and Toxicdrift seems to be selling his cause he hasn't got much time to use them . You could contact him . It has amazing bass ,smooth mids and treble along with good soundstage. Only issue could be getting a good seal with triple flange. Chiron could share his experience on the fit part :).
