sniper rifles need lot of practice. and you cant quick scope because accuracy will become normal only a second after scoped in.
it is still a one shot kill to the chest (at close) and head i.e, if you properly manage all the factors that affect the accuracy like suppression, sprinting-stopping-shooting, aiming down the sights, holding breath etc. highest accuracy will be when you are lying prone with your gun on a bipod, holding breath without any suppressive fire.
anyway there's a lot of difference between recon and a pure sniper. first and foremost task of recon is to spot and only pick targets when you are sure you can one hit kill them (eg: ppl who are standing/prone like a statue, ppl running in straight line etc). dont keep on spamming shots on people who are jumping around unless you are in TDM and with a auto sniper rifle

Hi guys,
I've been playing BF3 a lot for the past few days and I must say it is just awesome. After CS 1.6 & CODMW1, I must say this is the first multiplayer FPS that has me hooked. I bought the B2k expansion pack from EA as well. I have leveled upto 24 right now, dont think that counts for anything though. Have unlocked a host of things including guns from co-op missions, which were fun as well. Half of my dog tag slots are filled as well
I think I have graduated from a helpless lamb to a feisty goat in this past week, which is to say that I've come from scores of 0-11, 1-15 etc to regular scores of 9-9, 12-15 etc. & even scored more than my deaths a few times (my proud achievement being a score of 31-20
). I see this game has no emphasis on your personal score, your K/D ratio is just for personal gratification. What matters, is that the team wins which is what a team game is supposed to be about. Another nice thing about this game I noticed is that a lot of the times players with scores of 3-10, 7-16 have topped the charts because they performed their roles perfectly supporting the team and resulting in a win. Initially I just played TDM and frankly got bored by the 2nd day because it started to feel like the game dint have much more to offer than what COD had. But then my friend introduced me to CQ & Rush and man, has it been an endless marathon since then
The best part about this game is that unlike CS, which is highly dependant on a low ping for the best experience, this game lets you play comfortably even at pings of 150+. Which means we get to play with pros from all over the world, something that holds a lot of value amongst CS players. Although at pings of 180+ my game starts to stutter, not lag exactly but more like when one has a graphics issue and then the game crashes and I get the error message you have been disconnected from EA online. Probably my net. And since the game takes ages to go through the process of starting.........then joining.........then loading level......and then finally starting
, I prefer to play on servers with a max ping of 170. So what I'm trying to say here is add me and lets playyyyy
P.S. : I can totally relate with chirag, I am a melee slut too
If I happen to chance upon a group of unsuspecting enemies from behind, waiting to be slaughtered with a grenade + rpg combo....I'd rather sneak up from behind and collect a dog tag or 2

So did upgrading ram helped you for faster loading??? I have 2 gb ram , game load in 3-4 min .... but back to karkand maps load faster like 1-1.3 min.. thats weird

I am not sure, but my observation says it depends upon ping too, coz I have seen that loading takes times when I join server above 200ms ping.

Yeah you are right....but now a dayz i get pings 100-150 in around 15-20 servers , most of which are empty.... badly missing the indian server . I used to get pings like 17 ..

Dont think they will bring up the indian server again. Petitions dont seem to make any difference.
About snipers, its pretty tough but lots of fun. It is amazing to see someone head blow up from far across the map when they thought they had safely landed on a spot.

Well i dont have any hope but my view for petition has changed after the announcement of dark souls on pc.... It will be my most memorable experience.......

I'm not sure if its an issue with less ram, when I checked in the task manager the game surprisingly was using only 400+ mb of ram at the most. I am thinking its mostly the net, I guess we will never know. As for the guns, all the M series guns are good, as expected (M16A3, M4, M4A1, M249 etc). I checked the bullet calibers and tried out the Scar-H and it seemed to do the most damage amongst the guns I have unlocked so I use that most of the time. And as per the same logic I use the M39 EMR when I play as a sniper, which I unlocked in co-op. It has a good rate of fire too. Initially even I didn't like the sniping in the game and felt they should have followed the CS model on this one, where sniping is really hard (relatively), but the rewards are 1 shot kills. But as I played more and more I realised that apart from the damage, they have added a lot of realism to the sniping wherein we must aim higher than the target depending on the distance and to the left or right and time it precisely when its a moving target. I've had some amazing sniper battles already in my short BF3 career so far, the scopes reflect and give away our posis and the hide n seek that follows with the opponent sniper, each one trying to outsmart the other by popping out from a different position for each shot and more importantly pull the trigger before the other one does
Also, why the need for an Indian server? There are so many empty Asian and European servers that offer perfectly playable pings (100-200). If we want we can all select one and play on any of them. If any outsiders join, well good, then we can all gang up on them instead of shooting each other

loading times also depend on your HDD capabilities. needless to say SSDs are blazing fast in this.

Couple it up with a quick firing sidearm like the G17 and you have a killer combo. But room to maneuver is needed, this will not work in 64 player Metro

You mean we can get double kill with a sniping gun . wow!!! didnt knew about it...... so we just shoot player in the chest and pray that someone is just behind him????
You just need to be lucky in this case. I got a double kill once. Two enemies were straight in line and I shoot player on head. It was a headshot with double kill. Double Kill depends upon the range of fire as well.
