Was a decent episode but had mixed feelings while watching, on one hand you know the trio will be back but on the other it was the end of TG as we've known it so for so long.

Clarkson, May and Hammond have signed a 3 year deal with Amazon Video, Andy Wilman the producer and brains behind Top gear has joined them too:

In other news - please check out James May in a 2 part series airing on the 20th and 21st of Oct (yesterday and today) called "Building cars live"
Also check his Cars of the People (3 episodes) aired earlier this year.

It was such a disappointing and underwhelming reboot that it literally put me to sleep, gonna watch the rest of the episode later today.
Everyone knew that it wouldn't be the same without the old gang but to see it unfold on the screen was a revelation indeed, those guys WERE the show.

Matt Leblanc's chase scene in Ariel Nomad was quite good. The car scenes were on par but the show as a whole was definitely miles behind. It will take some time for the chemistry to develop between these hosts. Also the production team needs to let the hosts have more say so that they can bring their own touch to the show. Even regular Top Gear had become a tad boring in the past few seasons and it was only the chemistry of the trio that had kept it going.
So, if they let the new hosts show their own creativity they might end up revitalize the show in a different light.
