Greetings fellow TE members!
The time has come to dust out those cabinets, re-TIM those surfaces, slap on the hefty coolers and crank up the volts. Get those GPUs to scream under the load of Vantage, and see the smoke rise as SuperPi punches out the numbers. If you think you have what it takes to be the best and can beat everyone else in the forum, then blaze your own path and grab the ultimate honour.

Thanks a lot for considering my request and extending the competition to 12th of June. Now I am eagerly waiting for my exams to finish up. :(

COOL up the heat :)

+ ONE THING ??

how would the difference between an amd rig and intel rig be considered ???

e.g. amd phenom x6 1100 vs. 17 2600k - unlocked

or amd phenom x6 vs. i5 2500 - locked

?????

and how to see what the score is in the SuperPi Mod ?????

i downloaded it for the link and it is showing me the SuperPi foe windows { ver 1.1 } ???

is that a right ver . for the contest ????

i always thought super pi is biased towards intel.

That is why if you look at the demarcation between the sections, each class [1,2,3] has an individual Intel and AMD. The AMD scores will not be compared to Intel scores and vice versa.

See my reply above. Once you DL the folder, extract to a new folder and click the EXE. Then from the top left choose 'calculate' and choose 1M. Take a screen shot as per the norms.

The PI value output will be your Score..

Super Pi - 1M run?

Thats ridiculous. An average i7 should be able pull that off in less that 15 seconds, In the end, we'll see people with 0.01s difference which won't be fair. Please raise it to 2M for the CPU - Class 1 batch please.

Thanks for the feedback. But the software outputs with 3 decimal place accuracy, so we should be fine.

no inclusion of time and date in screen shot?
can we just submit old results which were achieved in 'not so summer'? :P

1 question and 1 suggestion.

Suggestion:

can all also the pics on flickr or tinypic. I am not able to see images in the other imagehosting sites in my office. This would help a lot of people like me.

Question/doubt.

same as above. what about the cities like Chennai where temperature and humidity which may lead to low scores? Any consideration given to this factor.

I have no system config to boast about but this is what i have got.....need to know whether i am eligible to participate ?? :S

Processor: 1.90 gigahertz AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core QL-60

Graphics: ATI Radeon 3100

And yes it is a laptop, not a desktop, are laptops allowed to participate ??

Please clarify.

Rules amended. The system time-stamp should be there. And the checksum hash should be visible.

Cannot force users to use a specific image host. Also there is no way we can provision for geographical locations...! :)
