guys, i have a 512 kbps(wired one) MTNL connection. Now I didn't take the mtnl wifi router as i was advised against it

i have a beetel 450bx1 adsl2+router

i have tried to configure but even though it is working in my friend's house when i connect it to my pc the internet light does not blink

pls can somebody tell m how to configure this router, as you might have guessed i don't know squat about routers.
 
dude i know all that, it is just that i want to reconfigure the router as it was previously setup by airtel and i have mtnl connection
 
You have to change the VPI VCI value as per your ISP and user name and password provided by your ISP. Are you getting the ADSL light constantly. If that is not constant then the line doesnt sync up with your beetel. First check that and give VPI, VCI value (eg. 1,32 for airtel) it should work. If it doesnt, then may be mtnl is incompatible with this beetel modem...
