Forum Feedback Behavior of TE Members (Gyan Ahead, You have been warned!)

My experience is kind of mixed, the thing that pisses me off the most is people not replying to PMs or replying like a 13yr old. And I feel that people have lost their integrity over this current GPU scenario.
Yes, the not replying to PMs is really the worst. It takes a few seconds and it's FREE, so why do people act like we're asking for thier blood?. Replying when someone asks you something is basic human decency, man. I don't know why is this something that we need to spell out.

Someone should tell this person that saying "no offence" does not automatically excuse the rest of their message.
And throwing a random "mate" in between. I use mate too sometimes but reading those messages made me rethink a little.

I was supposed to give someone an old beat up M50X headphones. He's a thorough gentleman and totally understood that I couldn't ship it from Austria ( shipping cost more than the cans)
Though I didn't forget about the headphones, but simply couldn't bring it with me to India this time ( honest to goodness..had no space anywhere in the two huge backbacks I'm carrying) In fact I didn't bring any headphones with me except a pxc550 ( that too was always hanging around my neck as I couldn't put the case in)
Problem is, can't seem to find the DM thread to reply directly.
I'm really sorry, will definitely ship it from Praha later.
I must be really lucky, people who DM me are very polite and understanding.
Arjun was really sick few days back and I couldn't confirm a bed for him with oxygen. He remained calm and fought it out like a real man ( not going into details) and gave me update on daily basis.
He's doing fine now. Brave man!! Though we have never spoke or seen one another, he listened to my suggestions, spoke to his doctor and flowed everything.

Bumping this thread as I am seeing a lot of animosity between members.

Also, I want to add a point, if you want to add value to a sale thread with a aim that 'people should know what they are buying' , there is a way of doing it. There's no need to do it 'guns blazin' as a member accurately put it. Also, don't be selective in this regard, by only doing this for a sale post of an unknown member and not doing the same for members you know. That's being a hypocrite.

About the prices in sale threads, I just react "haha" and move on and report the threads if I think they are missing something or don't follow the FS rules. I feel that some members are blatantly trying to scam people. So I just want to say please guys don't be gullible and too eager to buy something just because you consider it a good deal.
I once had a member on this forum with 10+ market feedback threaten to leave negative feedback because he did not get a product I was giving away for FREE. Had very poor communication skills / wrote in broken English and sent me a few PM's trying to get my number because he wanted to "speak to me". Ignored the crap out of him -
Lmao.

Yeh, this GPU freeforall has brought out the ugly (true) side of peeps.
It should. Should you and I not share our opinion. Just Imagine if there is an Item selling for 10 Bucks and I bought it for 10 Bucks but now due to some circumstances I am selling the same thing for 20 Bucks and that too after using it for XYZ time period. Yes have the full right to rant on it.

So, if I have gold jewelry that i bought when gold was at Rs.15,000 per gram, have used it a lot, I should now sell it for Rs.15,000 a gram, when golds at 50k?

Now I think I replied to the same query. Does the value of the Video Card/GPU appreciate with Time ? I hope you know Gold is also used for making currency, Hope you have heard about Gold Standard. The gold standard is a monetary system where a country's currency or paper money has a value directly linked to gold.

So this comparison is not a good one. You cannot compare the Value of Gold/Property with a GPU. Why because there is a newer version of GPU coming every year. There is no new version of Gold or Property being launched every year or 18 months. That is the reason that this reason does not holds up. For Gold, you can always polish, melt it and make another ornament, can you do that with a GPU ?

I think, if we want to do something about not nice people, I think we simply should create a nice or not thread, and then paste links to the offending threads in that, and let all of us decide on how to react, and whether to react of not.

At least, it will lead to more interaction and discussion. We can b*tch and do whatever and relieve our pent-up frustrations there. ;)

Better to start a thread with members who are cribbing….let’s find out what’s their problem is.

My point was that the prices are market determined, as they should be. GPU's and jewellery are non essential items and are discretionary spend. A few months ago sellers were complaining of low prices, and now buyers are griping about high rates. We shouldn't insult people for selling, or buying items at market rates.

See I have a 2080Ti which I got for 45k from Zotac and still has a warranty left on it. Almost 2 plus years. If i were to sell it, I will sell it for under 40K but not now. I will never sell it for 1L or over the price that I bought it for no matter what the market price it. Because what I'll be doing is scalping.
But then this is how I see things or how I work and cannot expect others to follow, now having said that, I too can have a opinion about the current situation like you have. That is what the whole purpose is of this thread and there is one more about the GPU pricing where we are taking out our anger on what this situation has turned some people into.
