Security Software Best antivirus for desktop pc

Avast + Comodo firewall for the past 4 years .... No issues with this combo

Free and secure

Although Comodo might take some time getting used to....

PS: Comodo has a built in antivirus and defense+ so its double protection .... if any program is tries to make any changes to system files it pops a message so protection increases

I am using Bitdefender 9pro & has FW too.It is the best which I used so far.It is hardly get attacked.I have used all other best, which failed after few months. Then need to reinstall XP.With Bit defender I dont remember when I formatted my PC.go for it.

it was KIS for me in KIS 6 n 7 days....

then it failed to provide proper protection...using eset since then on every machine. no issues what so ever.

ESET smart security 4 brother .... been using from last 3 years, never faced a virus infection. Consumes 35 mb of system ram and works super fast , extremely easy to disable firewall and antivirus while gaming :)

its been AVG for me for a long time ... its quite lite and haven't faced a problem yet. (i only use the free version of the software).

If you could manage go with Comodo, (too much permission asking pop up widow), if do not want any headache go with Nod32 (Eset Smart Security) :)

Was using KIS for a while, but recently shifted to Bit Defender 10 and it is the best among the lot.Its very hard to move from your favorite one, but Bit Defender is worth a try and then decide.

Microsoft Security Essentials. Have been using it for a long time now, no issues at all. Home Rig, Laptop and Office machine.

I have previously used Kaspersky, Avira, Avast, AVG, Norton and prefer MSE to all of them. (Though the others were installed at different times on different machines over the last 2-3 years.)

(I think it can only be installed on a genuine Windows installation. Don't know if there is a crack).
