IMO a standalone player like vlc is much better than filling your system with different codecs !

+1 also agree codec packs are usually way more than you need and can be problematic while bogging down your system. I would suggest installing ffdshow directshow filters. It will allow you to play most of what you need and then manually install ohter codecs as you need them.

thanks guys... I am also facing same issue....

I have installed K lite codec and still some dvds are not playing...

Will try KM player....
