Best Digi Cam for ........?

Then I'd suggest him 570 IS, What is so special there in S3IS other than 12x.

well, a hell of a lot more settings for one which will appeal to anyone who is interested in photography more than the auto point and shoot stuff. + the swivel design LCD.

570IS in fact has the Digic III processor while S3 IS is Digic II. S3 is more for ppl who are really into photography ;)

540/570 holds the following controls:

Aperature value

shutter speed

Exposue value

manual focus

Flash intensity

metering mode etc

What more is there in S3IS?
