well, a hell of a lot more settings for one which will appeal to anyone who is interested in photography more than the auto point and shoot stuff. + the swivel design LCD.

570IS in fact has the Digic III processor while S3 IS is Digic II. S3 is more for ppl who are really into photography

Aperature value

shutter speed

Exposue value

manual focus

Flash intensity

metering mode etc

What more is there in S3IS?
