Best DTH To Get Currently

So my folks have finally decided get DTH in our home so my question is which one to get I am considering Airtel DTH as I have been very much satisfied with their broadband connection:) and I will also get a Rs.500 Speed on Demand free with airtel DTH:D .

I would have voted for Tata Sky one year back, their quality and service is still good but they will charge for everything. They have crappy STB's, packages are aweful. Stay away, and choose only as last option.
 
i got it for 1099 under Big Bazar scheme some days back. I use Tata and Airtel both. there is no doubt that airtel has better quality and duuno why i even feel that their sound quality is a tad better than Tata's. Airtel's worldspace radio only has 10 channels but i found 2 of them still worth listening.
 
I too have Airtel
Good service, good recharge options, good base packages and top ups.

I got 6 month subscription free with my Gold package.

total cost = 2500/- Gold
getting 6 month free
after that i will pay 250 pm

Airtel is not cheap, and its NOT expensive.
At the end its you who will decide what channel you will watch...

Advise, check the airtel website, and then go to an airtel showroom.. when i was looking for airtel, even i was in the impression of getting 500 rs worth speed on demand, but when i went into the showroom, they offered me 6 month free subscription instead of speed on demand..
I would say, go for 6 month free subscription, as speed on demand wont last more than 30 minutes.

I have DISH TV.....and i must say that service and recharge options sucks bigtime.....if you are going for a new connection go for....AIRTEL......its good....the service is also...good....and the recharge options that they have is also.....very varied and good....
 
I have both Airtel and Tata Sky. Firstly the Tata Sky does charge for everything, but there quality is better than Airtel and their scrolling options specially in regards to favorites are much better than Airtel. In Airtel when you press favorite button, it doesnt bring the channel up, you have to actually press ok to select the channel and left and right to scroll through favorites. In tata sky you just press the button and it brings u to the channel instantaneously.
 
+1 for Tata Sky, as I have used it and am very happy with their services. Also everything else like topup customer service helpline etc. is very very easy.
 
airtel STb is best among tata sky and Big

and their universal remote is cherry of their package priced at 1750 here

i fount their top ups had fewer channels and much vagued compared to tata

i would like to know hows tata sky Plus ?
 
sorry for hijacking the thread, but may i ask, which ones allow you to use multiple TVs, and what is the cost involved for setting up 2 television sets.
