Best of all.. its outta warranty rite now.. took it to the Mediatech RMA @ Link Rd, Andheri.. the guys say it cant be repaired.. apparently the DVD Lens has gone kaput.. and they dont have a replacement available.. for jus an over one year model !!

Difference is in the DVD RAM Write speed.
its 5X for H10A and 12X for H10N.
So the H10N is better and shud be costlier............tho i have no idea y its 100Rs cheaper than H10A.
:)
and also 10x dvd +r dl instead of 8x in H10N ..

had this drive .. very fast out of the block .. for any kind of media .. not sure abt its quality of dvd writing .. offered nothing more than my benq dw 1640 and lite on shm165p6s .. hence sold it ..

but very good drive for its price ..

Okay, I just picked up one! I bought it from Prime for 1,950. For starters, it breezed through a DVD that my Pioneer DVR-108 couldn't even read! Thank god, I didn't throw that disc away.

Strangely enough the option to scan a DVD isn't available in Nero CD-DVD speed 4.51.1. Quite strange indeed.

That has to suck! Anyway, the only reason I was confused was because on the cdfreaks link that Techhead posted, people had put up error scans. But unobservant as I am, I didn't realise that those guys were using different drives altogether to scan the DVDs made with the H10N.

^No idea.. probably to keep the customer service queries down "My LGH10A has 280PIF! WTF?", not realising that they're probably using Writex...
