Graphic Cards Best GFX under 3000

My friend is looking to buy a GFX card under 3000. The card will be used for gaming[GTA IV].
3K is max he can afford. 2nd hand card will also do.
We are thinking of 9400GT but not sure which brand is good.
Budget is strictly 3K.:hap5:

Get Palit 8600GT 512MB GDDR3 minimum, 3.5k, 256MB isnt enough for GTA4 and get GDDR3 version

9400GT is not gaming card, U should not consider it, money wastage.

I did recommend him the same card as above but looks like he wants to waste his money.

Hows MSI RX2600PRO 256DDR3 its also available for Rs.3075/- ?

Heard a Mercury 8600GT 256MB DDR3 is available for 3K. Check that.
