Amd Athlon 3800 x2

512*2 DDR 400 ram
Seventeam 420bkp PSU

This comp will be used for casual gaming, movies etc....Currently using 6600 Pci-e

Well u have the best VFM gfx card for ur system...getting anything else won't effect much....stick to the 6600

^^ In the reviews it says it has PCI-e V 2.0 and i guess my mobo has V 1.1 will it work ?

Dont't wory
All 2.0 Card are backward compatible to 1.1 its just that it wont be able to use all 2.0 features. There will not be any noticable differrence in casual gaming.

I have a budget of around 4k....which one should i buy ?

I am also concerned about what ronnie_gogs said in the 2nd post

Xpertvision 9600GT will fulfil all ur needs for 5.5K...its the best....ur proccy might b bottlenecked a bit...but still it 'll outperform all the cards mentioned above by good margin(atleast 20-30%)..its a onetime investment i say u go for it!!!!!!!

Other techies also pour in your suggestions please

How will be an EVGA 8800GTX fitted with an Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme 8800 ???

Getting it for 6k and is used for 3-4months

Also i have seventeam 420bkp will there be any problem ?

fast guys i dont want to lose this card if its good for my rig.

Basically you will not notice a huge diff between the 9600GT and the 8800 due to your other components. Also which monitor do you have ?
