Graphic Cards Best graphics card under 5k

One of my friend plays CRYSIS at High setting on a 20" LCD screen. Smooth gameplay. But you can't enjoy the Very High at that 1440x1080 resolution.
 
In this budget I think 9600 gt is a good option and the op can play all the latest games in mid settings...'

If he can increase his budget then he can opt 4 9800 gt but imo 9600 gt is better in performance...' best is if he could get hd 4770 or gts 250,
 
HD4670 ~ 4.5k(if u hav local PSU)

9600GT ~ 5k , 9800GT ~ 5.5-5.8k(if u hav gud PSU)

awl these cards r VFM now

HD4770 is no more a VFM card as its price goes upto 7.2-7.5k n also its not easily available in market

Well, this is true. But for guys who wanna run it for long as more than 1yrs, I will recommend them to buy at least a decent PSU like Zebby Pro or VIP/POWERSAFE. One of my friend has this card for the last 10 months. His SMPS is 2 yrs old now and caused the machine to stop.

ya true even i'll say PSU is very imp for ur rig..so if TC is planning to buy a VIP500W ~ 2.2k(or ne oder PSU like Powesafe or POV) den i would suggest 9600GT over HD4670 or even 9800GT :D
 
9600GT would be good for you. I have the Zotac one and I can play Crysis Warhead at 1440x900 Gamer setting with 2x AA, no lags :).
 
I am also looking to get a 4670 but which 1?
My requirement was to fit this into my pc now and move it to a HTPC later on.
After doing some research figured out some points.
Sapphire is noisy.
powercolor has only 1GB models in india(but they use artic cooling) and i guess are the most silent ones
MSI are also less noisy, but they use adapters for HDMI.

Anybody has any experience with powercolor, please provide some feedback on them.

I use sapphire 4670 for few days - I don't find noisy (idle/load)

HD4670 512MB is better den its 1GB version..
